vegetable garden

Since we arrived at Flaxfield in July 2022, Rod has set about transforming half of the walled garden into productive growing space, using Charles Dowding's 'no dig' method. We are enjoying sharing fresh produce from the garden with guests (subject to seasonal availability).

The dozens of fruit trees planted around the walls, and the asparagus, will take several years to establish, but it will be worth it in the end!

Our rescue chickens enjoy the safety of the walled garden, and guests can enjoy their eggs.
